Maya Architects is one among the multi-disciplinary practices in the fields of Architectural Consultancy, Interior Design and Project Management Consultancies, in the city of Bangalore.
Maya Architects was given its form in 2001 by Mr. Naveen Kumar Deshpande and Mr. Dev Kumar. Since its inception, our company has successfully designed more than 700 projects, including Bungalows, Residential Houses, Industrial & Commercial Buildings, Convention halls, Interiors for Corporate Sector and Farmhouses.
Maya Architects is headed by a team of dedicated professionals with core competence in the development of spaces to suit human needs. This philosophy is constantly being rediscovered in every new endeavor that is undertaken by us. We strive to arrive at a vertical where we can combine the heterogeneous elements existing inside & outside a given domain into one complete habitable space.
The firm believes that architecture, like any other business of development, is a process in itself giving the client’s needs and the function primary importance. Our job is lasting impressions and at “Maya Architects” we know that the greatest capacity for insight lies beyond the boundaries of creativity. Looking at any project critically, and responding to the context is the first step towards any design development, the context may be anything related to the client’s requirement, the site, the location, or the surroundings. We believe in perfection & quality while channelizing our creative instincts into a splendid form. Through the skillful application of time tested methodologies, our team has discovered that no two client engagements are ever the same.
The style is simple yet elegant, contemporary yet classy, aesthetic yet functional. We believe that working with constraints is a big challenge and it adds to the final form of the building. The ideas are mainly based on instincts with the deep sense of curiosity & observation. Our constant exploration of geometry & aesthetics keeps us on track always which leads us towards a better architecture. We intend to convert the clients brief into a concept which in turn is converted into a built reality.
The Core Team
Ar. Naveen Kumar Deshpande, Principal Architect, Partner, is the senior architect with an overall experience of about 12 years before starting Maya Architects. After completing his Diploma in Architecture in the year 1990 worked with M/s. STUP CONSULTANTS, Bangalore, for a period of about 6 years and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1999, from R.V.College of Engineering, Bangalore University. During the course of his study he has worked as a Freelance Architect with major leading Architects in Bangalore.
During his association with M/s.STUP, Naveen worked closely with clients and personally coordinated all aspects of the design process. He was involved with multi-faceted projects and has handled various projects spread across the country.
He worked with Team 2 Architects as a Senior Architect for a brief period of about 1 year, immediately after completion of his bachelor’s degree. He handled housing and institutional projects during his tenure with Team 2 Architects.
Ar. Dev Kumar.R, Principal Architect, partner of Maya Architects received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from R.V.College of Engineering, Bangalore University in 1999. He has worked with Mr. Nagaraj Vastaray of M/s.Pragroup Amoorthsiti, Bangalore for a period of 2 years. He gained indepth knowledge in planning and designing of buildings for Institutional, Corporate, Residential and Industrial sectors. Ar. Dev Kumar was involved in all aspects of course design from initial routing studies through project administration and planning to the actual completion of construction documents. He was involved in all phases of design and construction administration and Project Management. He is particularly adept at working with clients to determine programmatic requirements.

The Studio
At any given point of time we have adequate support staff in Senior Architects, Junior Architects, Draughtsman, 3D Visualisers, Site Engineers and Office Assistants. These form the internal support team.
Project Management
The clients come to us with wonderful ideas, hopes and expectations about their dream houses. The detailed plans which are designed by us allow our projects to be bid very competitively and we are able to settle on a budget that is very rarely rejected. With these plans we are able to control the budget very closely but with excellence in construction management and project administration the project will fulfill the dreams that are attached to a property. Our team is headed by an experienced Project Managers, Senior Architects, Junior Architects and Trainee Architects. We take the concepts and plans, and monitor the construction process with confidence and the knowledge that projects need to be fine-tuned in the Project site to react as per the prevailing site conditions. We have the knowledge to interpret plans and supervise every aspect of design from the initial survey to the final handing over of the project. We work fairly with consultants, contractors, vendors and sub-contractors.
